Festive Yoga & Sound Bath: A Gift to Our Cotswolds Community

As we move into the final stretch of the year, with the pace of the season picking up and the to-do lists getting longer, I wanted to create a moment of calm for our lovely yoga community here in the Cotswolds. On Monday 15th December, I’ll be offering something a little special at Upper Rissington Village Hall: our usual 7:30pm yoga class, followed by a soothing sound bath at 8:30pm. You’re welcome to join for either part of the evening, or stay for both if that feels right for you. Everything is completely free, simply as a Christmas gift and a heartfelt thank you for your support throughout the year.

It’s been a challenging year for many of us, in big and small ways, and I’ve been continually moved by the kindness, resilience and connection within our local yoga community. Teaching each week has been a real joy, and this event is my way of giving something back, to offer a space where we can pause, breathe, and soften before the fullness of the festive season arrives. The hall will be warm and welcoming, the practice will be gentle and grounding, and the sound bath will create a deeply relaxing atmosphere to help ease tension and restore calm. My hope is that it gives you a moment to settle your nervous system, reconnect with yourself, and feel held by the community around you.

If you’d like to come, just send me a quick email at emma@the-yoga-tree.com to let me know whether you’ll be joining the class, the sound bath, or both. This helps me make sure there’s enough space and equipment for everyone. The evening is suitable for all levels, including beginners, and you don’t need to bring anything other than your usual yoga mat if you have one.

I’m also putting the finishing touches on a nurturing Winter Workshop that will take place in the new year—a cosy, reflective session designed to help you reset after the holidays and ease into the season with intention. If you’d like to be the first to know when bookings open, you can sign up for my newsletter, where I share upcoming events, wellbeing tips and occasional behind-the-scenes updates from The Yoga Tree.

I hope this little December gathering offers a pocket of peace and connection amid the festive rush, and I would truly love to see you there. Wishing you a gentle, grounded lead-up to Christmas, and sending gratitude to each of you for being part of this community.
